# Output spec ## Photos | Property | Value | |---|---| | Size | Same pixel width and height as the input. The grade never crops or resizes. | | Orientation | Upright (the phone's rotation flag is applied, then removed) | | Format | From the output file extension: `.jpg` (default, quality 92), `.webp` (quality 86) or `.png` | | Colour | sRGB | | Metadata | Stripped, including GPS location | | Naming | `-.jpg`, e.g. `lisbon-street-teal-amber.jpg` | ## Video clips | Property | Value | |---|---| | Size and length | Same as the input | | Format | MP4, H.264, CRF 18, yuv420p, `+faststart` | | Audio | Copied if it is AAC, MP3 or ALAC; converted to AAC 192 kbps otherwise (Opus or Vorbis from WebM, PCM from MOV) | | Input | SDR (Rec.709) only. HDR clips (PQ or HLG) are refused; export an SDR copy first. 10-bit SDR is delivered as 8-bit | ## Checks before you return it Open the original and the graded file side by side. 1. Nothing in the picture changed: same framing, same people, same objects, same text. Only colour, tone, grain and glow differ. 2. Skin looks like healthy skin: not orange, grey, green or plastic. 3. Bright areas (sky, white shirts, sun on water) roll off softly; no new hard clipping or banding. 4. Shadows keep detail and have the look's tint (teal, cyan, warm brown) without turning muddy. 5. Grain is visible at 100 percent in the mid-tones and looks even and organic, not like coloured digital noise or a pattern. 6. The look matches what was asked for (warm Portra, night Cinestill, pastel Fuji, teal and amber). 7. If brand colours or text matter, they are still readable and the colour shift has been pointed out. 8. If the relight step was used: the faces, objects and text match the original exactly. If check 1 fails (only possible after a relight), discard the relit image and grade the original. For any other failure, follow the fail path in SKILL.md: at most 3 attempts, one change each.
