Frame timing calculator

Enter a frame count and a rate to see your loop’s total length, how long each frame is held, and how many loops fit common short-form lengths. Fifteen frames is Meleon’s default. It updates live and costs nothing.

Lengths are typical short-form targets for planning, not platform rules.

How to use it

  1. Set the frame count — 15 matches a default Meleon loop.
  2. Enter a rate as fps or seconds per frame; the other follows.
  3. Set loop repeats for how many times the loop plays through.
  4. Read the total duration and per-frame timing.
  5. Use the table to see how many loops fit a target length.

Questions

Why does the frame count default to 15?

A Meleon story loop is built from 15 frames by default, so the calculator starts there. Change the number if you are planning a longer or shorter sequence.

What is the difference between fps and seconds per frame?

They are two ways to say the same thing. Frames per second (fps) is how many frames play each second; seconds per frame is how long one frame is held. The calculator keeps both in sync.

Are the short-form lengths official platform limits?

No. The 6, 15, 30 and 60-second rows are typical short-form lengths used as a planning guide. They are not rules from any platform, and limits change over time — always check the app you are posting to.

Does this calculator cost anything?

No. It runs entirely in your browser and does nothing but arithmetic. Credits are only used when you run a Skill inside your AI chat.
